การรวมตัวของวง Kalipse (คาลิปซี่) เกิดขึ้นจาก ดีน-ใจยุทธ เฮงวิชัย ได้เห็นคลิปคัฟเวอร์เพลงของ ชาร์ลี-ชนิสรา แมคเคย์ บนโซเชียลมีเดียที่ถูกแชร์โดยเพื่อนของทั้งสอง แล้วดีนก็รู้สึกสนใจและอยากจะทำความรู้จักกับชาร์ลีให้มากขึ้น จึงทำให้ดีนตัดสินใจลองเข้าไปถามเพื่อนคนนั้นเพื่อจะได้ช่องทางการติดต่อของชาร์ลี และหวังว่าจะได้ร่วมงานดนตรีด้วยกัน
    หลังจากทั้งดีนและชาร์ลีได้ลองพูดคุยกัน ทำให้ได้รู้ว่าทั้งสองมีรสนิยมการฟังเพลงที่คล้ายกัน คือ ชอบเพลง R&B เหมือนกัน ในขณะเดียวกันนั้นดีนก็กำลังทำโปรเจกต์เพลง R&B อยู่แล้ว ที่ชื่อว่า “The Half Moon” ดีนจึงได้ลองส่งเดโม่ส่วนหนึ่งให้ชาร์ลีได้ลองร้องดู ปรากฏว่าดีนชอบในเสียงของชาร์ลีมากขึ้นไปอีก ต่อมา ทั้งสองจึงเกิดไอเดียที่จะลองทำโปรเจกต์เพลง R&B ด้วยกัน

Kalipse อัลบั้มแรกที่มีชื่อว่า “Lounge” ซึ่งเป็นการนำเพลงในอัลบั้มเรียงร้อยต่อกัน เน้นโชว์สกิลการเล่นดนตรีและสไตล์เป็นส่วนใหญ่ จึงไม่ค่อยฟังง่ายมากนัก คอนเซ็ปต์ของอัลบั้มนี้คือการจำลองบรรยากาศบริเวณห้องเลานจ์ของโรงแรม ที่ใช้เพลง Electronic R&B คอยกล่อมเกลาในระหว่างที่ทุกคนกำลังเพลิดเพลินกับบทสนทนา อาหาร และเครื่องดื่ม เพื่อให้มีบรรยากาศที่ดีขึ้น
    ปี 2024 Kalipse เริ่มปล่อยซิงเกิ้ลอีกครั้ง โดยเพลงแรก ชื่อว่า “Not About You” โดยแนวดนตรีในซิงเกิ้ลนี้ยังคงความเป็น Alternative R&B แต่ถ้าเทียบกับเพลงต่าง ๆ ในอัลบั้ม Lounge ก่อนหน้านี้  เพลง Not About You จะมีความฟังง่ายมากขึ้น และมีการใช้ภาษาไทยเข้ามาร่วม เพื่อให้เข้าถึงกลุ่มคนฟังที่หลากหลายขึ้น และมีโอกาสที่เพลงอื่น ๆ ของ Kalipse ที่กำลังตามมาหลังจากนี้ จะใช้ภาษาไทยผสมผสานไปกับภาษาอังกฤษอย่างแน่นอน และล่าสุด เพลง summerlove คือก้าวล่าสุดของ Kalipse ที่หนักแน่นและตอกย้ำถึงสไตล์ของตัวเอง ด้วยเนื้อหาเพลงที่โดดเด่น อีกทั้งดนตรีที่พิถีพิถัน และใส่ใจในรายละเอียดอย่างมาก ถ้าคุณเริ่มเบื่อกับดนตรีที่จำเจ เพลง Summerlove นี้ จะเป็นเพลงที่ทำให้คุณมีชีวิตชีวา และอาจหวนกลับไปนึกถึง ถวิลหา ความรักในช่วงฤดูร้อน ของตัวคุณเองอีกครั้ง และจะคงปล่อยผลงานออกมาอย่างต่อเนื่องแน่นอน

 

The gathering of the band Kalipse came about when “Dean" saw a clip covering a song by “Charlie” on social media that was shared by friends of the two. Dean is interested and wants to get to know Charlie better. So Dean decided to ask that friend to get Charlie's contact information. and hope to work together in music

  After both Dean and Charlie tried talking to each other. It was learned that the two have similar tastes in listening to music, that is, they both like R&B music. Dean tried sending it. Part of the demo was for Charlie to try singing. It turned out that Dean liked Charlie's voice even more, so the two came up with the idea to work together.

 

Kalipse's first album is called "Lounge" which is a collection of songs from the album arranged together. Focuses mostly on showing off music skills and style so it's not easy to listen to. The concept of the album is to recreate the atmosphere of a hotel lounge where Electronic R&B music plays as the music plays while everyone enjoys conversation, food, and drinks, to have a better atmosphere

  In 2024, Kalipse began releasing singles, called “Not About You.” The music in this single is still Alternative R&B, but if compared to the songs on the previous Lounge album, the song Not About You will be easier to listen to. and combine with Thai language in order to reach a more diverse group of listeners And there's a chance that more Kalipse songs are on the way. Will definitely use Thai mixed with English, and the latest song "summerlove" is Kalipse's latest step that is strong and emphasizes its own style.
